Position Details
Swim Instructor — Part-Time
Monmouth Squash & Swim is hiring part-time swim instructors for our indoor swim lesson program in Sea Bright, NJ.
Location: 1071 Ocean Avenue, Sea Bright, NJ
Schedule: Flexible part-time shifts available
Pay Range: $25–$40 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and role
Training: Provided for the right candidate

You do not need to be a career swim coach to apply. If you are comfortable in the water, enjoy working with kids, and are dependable, we can help you learn how to teach our lesson structure.

Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
As a swim instructor, you will:
Teach private and small-group swim lessons.
Help swimmers build water confidence, safety skills, and technique.
Communicate kindly and professionally with parents.
Follow our lesson structure and safety expectations.
Keep lessons positive, organized, and age-appropriate.
Work as part of a team with our swim leadership staff.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is:
Comfortable and confident in the water.
Good with children.
Reliable, punctual, and professional.
Friendly, patient, and encouraging.
Willing to learn our teaching system.
Available for consistent weekly shifts.
Helpful but not required:
Prior swim teaching, lifeguarding, coaching, or competitive swimming experience.
This Is More Than a Part-Time Job
Many of our swimmers start nervous, uncertain, or brand new to the water. A great swim instructor helps them feel safe, encouraged, and proud of their progress.
If you enjoy seeing kids grow in confidence, this can be a very rewarding role.
